The Lumière Foundation and the Town Council of Carboneros have awarded the prize “El Olivo Solidario – El Aceite de la Vida” to Luz Solidaria, which was collected by its CEO Pepi Jiménez, alongside her sister Isabel Jiménez, president of the Luz Solidaria Foundation on the 24th of November 2021. Luz Solidaria will have its own centenary olive tree, and from now on it will sponsor it, within the “Educational Ecopark for Solidarity and Concord of Peoples”.

Alongside Luz Solidaria, the Board of Trustees of the Lumière Foundation and the Carboneros Town Council have awarded this distinguished award in recognition of their solidarity work to Pope Francis, the Nobel Peace Prize winner Barack Obama and his family, the former coach of the Spanish national team Vicente del Bosque, Luis Rubiales, the current president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and other celebrities who stand out for their solidarity work, such as the chef Karlos Arguiñano, singers José Luis Perales, Miguel Ríos o Rozalén and the actors Susan Sarandon, Nick Nolte and George Clooney.

Currently, Luz Solidaria has the privilege of sponsoring its Solidarity Olive Tree together with the olive trees sponsored by these outstanding personalities who fight every day for a better world.
